Serre Chevalier is a ski area in France, on slopes between roughly 1,726 and 1,726 m. Its mapped area is about 15 km across, with 282 marked runs and 70 lifts (about 157 km of piste in all).

Over the last twelve winters the ERA5 weather model gives it 285 cm of snowfall a season, 545th (tied) of 3,069 worldwide and 78th in France. It swings a lot from year to year: the biggest winter, 2017/18 (499 cm), brought more than twice as much as the leanest, 2018/19 (169 cm). March still brings 71 cm on average, close to January, its snowiest month.
