Ski Civetta

Off season Official site

Ski Civetta is a ski area in Italy, on slopes between roughly 2,277 and 2,277 m. Its mapped area is about 11 km across, with 90 marked runs and 27 lifts (about 53 km of piste in all).

Over the last twelve winters the ERA5 weather model gives it 187 cm of snowfall a season, 1,267th (tied) of 3,069 worldwide and 83rd in Italy. It swings a lot from year to year: the biggest winter, 2020/21 (370 cm), brought more than 4 times as much as the leanest, 2021/22 (75 cm). December brings as much snow as January here (53 and 37 cm on average).

Below is a link to its official live camera.

We do not show a snow depth here. The weather model we use reports snow lying on the ground — it knows nothing about grooming or snowmaking, and it is not the base depth a ski area publishes. In Japan we can check our figures against 234 weather stations. Outside Japan there is nothing to check them against, so we do not print a number we have not verified. Winter by winter

Across the 12 winters measured, the average is 187 cm, and 8 of them fell short of it. The leanest was 2021/22 with 75 cm; the biggest was 2020/21 with 370 cm (4.9 times as much). For 55% of the 177 ski areas in Italy, the leanest winter was the same 2021/22: bad winters tend to hit a whole region at once.
