Sapporo Moiwayama is a ski area in Hokkaido, Japan, on slopes between roughly 162 and 441 m. Its mapped area is about 1.9 km across, with 16 marked runs and 7 lifts (about 8.9 km of piste in all).
Over the last twelve winters the ERA5 weather model gives it 184 cm of snowfall a season, 285th of the 397 ski areas we measure in Japan. Its winters are fairly steady; even the leanest, 2018/19 (132 cm), reached 72% of the average. January is usually the snowiest month, with about 56 cm. Weather models read low in the mountains: a Japan Meteorological Agency station 10.7 km away measured 507 cm a winter over the last three seasons, against 193 cm from the model.
